Hapoel Beer Sheva 3:1 Hapoel Tel Aviv
Beer Sheva seems to be putting it together under coach Barak Bachar as they took apart and overmatched Hapoel Tel Aviv side at the Toto Turner Stadium. Tony Nwakaeme opened the scoring in the second half as William Soares and Eliyaniv Barda each added a goal with Maor Melikson and Mahran Radi taking up the role of playmaker. Siraj Nassar pulled one back for Walid Badir’s side that seem to still need to find their identity.
Maccabi Haifa 4:0 Hapoel Akko
Haifa finally scored and won at home this season as Roni Levy’s club came out flying against Akko and picked up the three points as Eliran Atar starred with a goal and an assist for the Greens. Dutchman Glynor Plet opened the scoring as Atar’s pass in the box to Plet was put behind the Akko ‘keeper Dani Amos. Marc Valeinte doubled the lead before Atar scored his goal. Ludovic Obraniak’s blistering low shot right outside of the box cleanly beat Amos for the 4:0 victory.
Maccabi Petach Tikva 0:2 Hapoel Raanana
Petach Tikva had a fantastic start to the season with four wins in a row but have now picked up four losses in a row this time going down to Haim Silvas’s Raanana 2:0. With Ran Ben Shimon sitting Shiva after the death of his father, Petavh Tikva had Yitav Luzon on the sidelines but he also couldn’t find the winning formula. Two late second half goals by Barak Badash and Snir Shuker sent the hosts to yet another loss.
Hapoel Kfar Saba 2:2 Hapoel Haifa
Ma’aran Lala opened the scoring for the visitors and Amir Abu-el-nir bookended the match from Haifa as the two sides split the points. Lala picked up Tomer Suissa long ball during first half injury time and capitalized on a mistake by Kfar Saba to take a 1:0 lead into halftime. However Kfar Saba drew even just as the 2nd half began when the two Maccabi Tel Aviv loaned players Mavis Tchibota and Larry Kehinde combined on the latter’s first goal of the season. Reef Mesika put the hosts in front in the 64th minute but Haifa scored just five minutes later on Tomer Suissa’s science assist of the game when his free kick was headed into the goal by Abu-el-Nir to end the match at two a piece.
Bnei Yehuda 2:2 Kiryat Shemona
Ahmad Abed scored a brace for Kiryat Shemona but it wasn’t enough for the visiting side to coloect the three points away at Bloomfield Stadium. Ofir Mizrachi perfect pass was headed into the hosts goal by Abed in the 18th minute as his second goal came off of a magnificent breakout. Bruno Chnha’s pass found Or Ostaynd who sent Abed the ball in the box for his brace. Cassio Fernandes’s error led to Ohad Kadusi’s goal that cut the lead to 2:1 and then late drama saw the Lions even up the score. Kiryat Shemona’s Voba Brown was issued his 2nd yellow card and sent off in the 87th minute as Almog Bozaglo was pulled down in the box in minute 92 and Pedro Galvan tied the game up in the dying seconds to split the points.
Bnei Sakhnin 0:0 Maccabi Netanya
In an entertaining match that saw two terrific goalkeeping performances by Ran Kadosh and Barak Levy it was Diogo Kachuba who picked up a straight red card for the hosts in the 45th minute. Hilal Mosa had the best chance of the game in the 82nd minute but couldn’t find the back of the goal as the match ended in a scoreless draw.
