Bnei Herzliya 86-90 Maccabi Tel Aviv
Herzliya who are deep at the bottom end of the table hosted Maccabi Tel Aviv who played without the injured Norris Cole. The game went back and forth and stayed very close throughout but Pierre Jackson made the difference in the dying moments with 2 big 3 pointers as the Yellow & Blue went on to win 90-86. Karam Mashour who played his ball last season at Herzliya scored 17 points for Maccabi while Jeff Adrien scored 27 points in a MVP performance for the host’s but it just wasn’t enough.
Hapoel Eilat 94-79 Hapoel Holon
Holon went down south for a tough away matchup against Eilat. The game was extremely close until the final quarter when Eilat made a run and broke away from Holon to pick up the surprise 94-79 win. Veteran guard Afik Nissim scored 18 points and dished out 10 assists while Demetrius Tredwell dropped 19 points and pulled down 15 rebounds in the win. Glen Rice Jr scored 24 points for Holon.
Maccabi Rishon Le’Zion 78-92 Hapoel Jerusalem
Hapoel Jerusalem visited Rishon and came out the big winners 92-78 even without big men Robert Roberts and Rich Howell who did not play due to injury. Alen Omic in their stead finished with a big double double as he scored 21 and had 16 rebounds while Jerome Dyson scored 30 points for the Reds.
Maccabi Haifa 87-74 Maccabi Ashdod
Maccabi Haifa once again attempted to get on the right track but failed to produce a win against Ashdod as they lost 87-74. Cameron Long who dropped 20 points and pulled down 7 rebounds led the way for a big away win for Ashdod while Brandon Bowman scored 17 points for the Greens.
Hapoel Tel Aviv 91-80 Nahariya
Hapoel Tel Aviv hosted Nahariya and held the lead all 40 minutes as the Reds went on to win 91-80. Matt Howard scored 18 points and 7 rebounds for Hapoel while Corey Webster countered with 22 points for Nahariya.
Hapoel Gilboa/Galil 77-91 Nes Ziona
Nes Ziona tipped off against Gilboa/Galil and picked up a big win as they attempt to move out of the league basement. Daequan Cook (20p) scored big 3 pointers in the 4th quarter to secure a very big win for Nes Ziona. D’Angelo Harrison also dropped 20 points in the losing cause for Gilboa/Galil who will have to readjust in order to get back on their winning ways.
