Amit Simhon will return to play for Hapoel Eilat after a season with Maccabi Haifa and the 6″5 shooting guard/small forward can’t wait to get going with the Israel National Team. The 27-year old has played across the Israeli league and could provide a needed spark off of the bench.
“It’s a big honor and a childhood dream to get to this point just like the others. I’m really happy and I want to do something very big.”
Month of prep time:
“It’s very important so that we can play together as a team. It’s also very important to be able to integrate everyone into the system as it will be important for this competition. Over the course of the month we will see where we stand against other countries and these exhibition games will really help us really once we get to the actual competition.”
Eurobasket in Israel:
“It’s a huge deal that it’s happening in Israel. We can’t wait for it to be here already and it will be great to have our fans here in Israel that will be able to see us at home. There is nothing greater than hosting it in Israel.”
